JNB, the eastern branch of TC north of the Tsushima/Korea Strait at
135E, has a maximum eastward component of 0.18 m/s in the winter
(Fig. 6). A counter current beneath it is simulated with a westward component
of 0.09 m/s. In the summer, the counter current remains almost unchanged, but
the JNB increases to 0.21 m/s (Fig. 6).
