GB4043 Business Modeling & Analysis

This course introduces three analytical frameworks for problem solving: linear programming, decision analysis, and simulation. It emphasizes problem formulation, logic, thinking about problem contexts and translating mental models into mathematical language. We cover many example problems that are representative of ones businesses encounter, while noting assumptions, limitations, and simplifications. Students will gain hands-on experience with spreadsheet functions.
