Effects of increasing RASM's horizontal resolution

RASM is currently being run at a horizontal resolution of 9 km (1/12 degree) for the ice and ocean. What changes are observed when we increase the horizontal resolution to 2km (1/48 degree)? Does RASM resolve more mesoscale features such as eddies and coastal currents? Are there changes in the representation of oceanic heat transport or the distribution of sea ice?
