Figure 5 shows the student design center SDC, including a custom PCB with A/D converters and gate driver outputs designed to interface the XilinxFPGA development board [2] and the Semikron power converter. The control software has been designed using the Matlab/Simulink software with the addition of Xilinx System Generator [3]. The web interface shown in Figure 6 allows the student to operate the laboratory experiment remotely.
