Wilson L. Price, Visiting Professor

Professor Price served as a university professor at the Royal Military College of Canada (1967-70), Université d’Ottawa (1972-75) and, from 1975, at Université Laval. While he retired in 2001 as a professeur titulaire, he retains status as a member of the university faculty and continues his research work. He is a Visiting Professor in the Operations Research Department of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He is author or coauthor of a number of published scientific papers, book chapters and reports in the areas of operational research, information technology, manpower planning, and production management. His recent work concerns military applications of optimization and heuristic methods including genetic and ant-colony metaheuristics. He is a former president and current emeritus member of the Canadian Operational Research Society. For many years, he was an associate editor of INFOR and of International Transactions in Operational Research, as well as being a member of INFORMS.
