This home page offers access to materials for an 11-week course in Joint Campaign Analysis. Emphasis in the course is on formulating the problem, choosing assumptions, structuring the analysis, and measuring effectiveness. Mathematical modeling is used to illustrate rapid-response kinds of analytical support for a decision maker. Examples of comprehensive studies of air, land, and sea campaigns are also included for operations such as Desert Storm and for navy force level and ship characteristics decisions. In classroom delivery, students taking the course spend three weeks conducting a broad gauge, quick reaction campaign analysis as members of a team, with the professor serving as decision maker.
