Spratt, Jr. Assistant Minority Leader, Ranking Member, House Budget Committee and senior member of House Armed Services Committee. Worked with procurement and R&D subcommittees on various issues including procurement policy, missile defense, space assets, nuclear weapons policy, MILCON, and EW.
  • 2000-2001 Brookings Legislative Fellow: Office of Representative John M. Spratt, Jr. Worked with LD/MLA on procurement and R&D issues, missile defense, DoE weapons Labs (NNSA and stockpile stewardship), strategic forces, space assets, electronic warfare, and procurement reform.
  • 1998 Visiting Professor: Institute fur Thermische Stromungsmachinen. University of Karlsruhe, Germany. I worked for o.Prof.Dr.Ing. Sigmar Wittig, who is currently Executive Director of DLR (Equivalent to NASA Administrator). Conducted research in secondary flows in jet and rocket engines.

  • 1986-1987 Research Engineer: Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT, Turbine Aerodynamics Group. Turbine Aerodynamics Group. Worked for Om Sharma and Bob Ni. Upgraded design system to account for 3-D unsteady flows.
  • 1983-1984 Junior Engineer: Pratt and Whitney. West Palm Beach, FL. Compressor, Turbine, and Structures Groups. Designed components for the F-100 fighter engines and RL-10 rocket engines.
