Biography

Dr. Thulasiraman is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the Naval Postgraduate School. She has been at NPS since January 2011.  Since 2005 she has been involved in wireless networking research, studying various algorithmic and protocol design issues for wireless sensor, mesh and hybrid networks. Her current research interests include network and MAC layer design of resource allocation algorithms, interference management, wireless routing and fault tolerance, sensor networks, and security for cyberphysical infrastructure. She is currently pursuing interests in unmanned ground systems and ground sensor systems with an emphasis on quality of service provisioning, mobility management and performance evaluation. She is also studying cybersecurity issues in the SmartGrid and other SCADA systems. She has been a member of the IEEE and ACM since 2006.
