Littoral Operations Center, Littoral Combat Ship Wargame Planning Session After Action Report

The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Littoral Operations Center (LOC) held its 2nd Annual Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Wargame Planning Session at NPS on 23 April 2015.  Over 70 participants attended, representing over half a dozen countries and nearly a dozen defense firms.  RADM Christopher Paul, Deputy Commander, Naval Surface Force, US Pacific Fleet delivered the keynote address entitled, "Taking the Offensive in the Littorals".  With the expectation that by 2019 there will be 24 Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) in naval service, RADM Chris Paul, USN remarked that "This discussion is timely, as the U.S. Navy surface fleet is at a crossroads".

The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Littoral Operations Center (LOC) held its 2nd Annual Littoral Combat Innovation Workshop at NPS on 24 April 2015.  Over 70 participants attended.  Many were NPS students who were in attendance to participate in the Innovation Break-Out Group Discussions.  The participants alongside volunteer student presenters assumed the dais and delivered remarks on the work product of each group.  These were received by RADM Paul who asked questions, reflected on the group recommendations, and highlighted what he felt were the key issues raised.
